
WyoPreps’ 2025 Indoor Track Season Preview
Wyoming High School Indoor Track begins its 2025 eight-week season this weekend. Schools will compete at meets in Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette, and Laramie in the state. Idaho and Utah also host indoor track meets that Wyoming teams will attend. The season is seven weeks and leads up to the 2025 Wyoming High School Indoor Track State Championships in Gillette from March 6-8, 2025, at the Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse.
WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR TRACK SEASON PREVIEW 2025
This is the third year the state is split into two classifications. Cody has won the first two 3A girls’ and boys’ team crowns. The Cheyenne East girls and Sheridan boys are the defending 4A state champs.
In the 3A girls’ division, Madison Antonino of Pinedale returns to defend her title in the 3200 meters last year. Worland’s Anna Richardson has a chance to defend her crown in the 3A long jump.
Class 4A girls have the most returning champions. Cheyenne East distance standout Maggie Madsen, who helped the Thunderbirds to the state championship last winter is back to defend titles in the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters. Lainey Berryhill of Laramie is the defending 4A 400-meter indoor state champ. Sheridan’s Ruby Jacobs will have a shot at another victory in the 55-meter hurdles. Thunder Basin’s Ashley Rogge is back to defend her crown in the 4A high jump. Reese Dorr of Campbell County will vie for two straight in the pole vault. Tristyn Buss from Kelly Walsh is the defending triple jump champ.
On the boys’ side in 3A, Star Valley senior Habtamu Wetzel returns to defend his titles in the 1600 and 3200 meters. Kyler Winters from Cody is the returning champ in the pole vault.
In the 4A boys’ division, Adam Gibson of Campbell County won last year’s 55-meter dash title. Tegan Krause of Cheyenne Central took the crown in the 200 meters in 2024. Micah Colling from Kelly Walsh can defend his championship in the 4A 1600 meters. The last defending champ in 4A is Raynor Ranum from Campbell County in the shot put.
