Not a lot of change occurred in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll released on Wednesday. The four top-ranked teams stayed the same. They are Little Snake River, Big Horn, Cody, and Laramie. Only one new team entered the poll, and that was in Class 3A. The top five shuffled in each class.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL RANKINGS POLL No. 3 2024

The biggest difference was in 3A. Pinedale jumped into the rankings at No. 5. Cody led the way with 11 of the 13 first-place votes. Douglas got the other two and remained second. Powell and Wheatland moved up one spot each. The Panthers were third, and the Bulldogs checked in at fourth. The Wranglers followed those two after their 5-3 weekend at the Border Wars tournament in Evanston.

The other three classifications had some team’s trade spots.

In 1A, Little Snake River topped the rankings with seven of the 12 first-place votes. They are followed by Cokeville in second, and Upton was third. Lingle-Ft. Laramie moved up to fourth, and Southeast fell to fifth.

Big Horn was one vote away from a unanimous pick at No. 1 in Class 2A. The Rams garnered ten of the 11 first-place votes. Sundance held onto second by six points in the voting. Tongue River climbed one position to third. Wright slid to fourth. Pine Bluffs stayed fifth.

Laramie was the only unanimous selection for the top spot in the poll. They lead Class 4A with all 13 first-place votes and are off to an 11-0 start. Thunder Basin advanced up to second by three points over Kelly Walsh, who barely dropped to third. Green River also traded spots with Cheyenne East. The Wolves were fourth, and the Thunderbirds came in at No. 5.
