There will be a new champion crowned in the Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class 'AA' State Tournament on July 30.

The landscape of the 'AA' state tournament has changed in the last 10 days with four-time defending champion Cheyenne Post Six opting out. Cheyenne had won 16 of the last 18 Class 'AA' titles.

It means there will be a new state champion in 2019. Some might have argued another team besides Cheyenne might have been the favorite.

Perhaps Gillette takes the favorite mantle since they are playing on their home field. Or, does this open the door for someone else? Could Casper break-through for the first time in 23 years? The Oilers last title was in 1996. Maybe there's a dark horse or two, like Sheridan or Jackson? Could the Cody Cubs, moving up from the Class 'A' level, pull a surprise? Is it someone else?

What do you think will happen July 26 through July 30 at Hladky Memorial Stadium in Gillette?
