Worland Beats Thermopolis in Week Zero Scrimmage
Week Zero football scrimmages are an excellent gauge of ability events to prepare for this week's regular-season opener. 3A Worland played host to 2A Thermopolis on Friday with Worland winning the Week Zero scrimmage, 40-29.
Worland went 4-5 last season and lost to Cody in the first round of the 3A playoffs but they have 2 returning all-state selections in Kade Weber and Brock Douzenis. So this team is going to be formidable.
Thermopolis missed the 2A playoffs last season with a record of 4-5 but they have one of the state's finest all-around athletes in Roedy Farrell who qualified for the National High School Finals Rodeo in the bareback and is a two-time state champion wrestler. Farrell was named all-conference in football in 2021.
Worland opens the regular season at home on Friday vs. Powell and Thermopolis will be at home to meet Tongue River. We have a ton of photos of the Week Zero game from James Yule so make sure to take a look at those in our gallery below!
