The Natrona County basketball teams made the long road trip to Sweetwater County over the weekend to take on Green River and Rock Springs. On Friday night, the Green River girls held off Natrona 59-55 in overtime. Isabel Vasco had a great game for Green River with 26 points and she is currently 3rd in 4A in scoring, averaging 15 points a game. The Wolves are 3rd in 4A in shooting and 4th in scoring. They concluded the weekend with a 45-40 loss to Kelly Walsh on Saturday so stand at 8-6 on the year.
In the boy's game on Friday, Natrona got a late bucket to edge Green River 46-45. The Mustangs showed some resilience in that game vs. the Wolves but lost to Rock Springs on Saturday 66-58 to fall to 4-8 on the year. NC has been led in scoring by Josiah Coleman who throws in 12 per game. Green River got 13 points from Adam Robertson in the NC game and the Wolves dropped to 4-9 with a 68-47 defeat to Kelly Walsh on Saturday.
