The Thunder Basin boys basketball team has found some traction so far this season and posted home wins over Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central over the weekend. On Friday, the Bolts knocked off East 70-63 and then throttled Cheyenne Central on Saturday 58-49. Gibby Williams had 16 for Thunder Basin with Brayden New chipping in 14 in that match-up with Central so the Bolts are now 4-0 in 4A East play with a 9-3 record overall. Central drops to 5-9 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

On the girl's side, Cheyenne Central as of right now looks to be the team to beat in 4A with a 13-1 record and 4-0 in the 4A East. The Indians posted a big win over Thunder Basin on Saturday 68-38 as they raced out to a big lead and finished the game with a big lead. The Tribe's 1-2 combo of Karson Tempel and Izzy Kelly will be a tough assignment for all the teams they play. It's been a struggle lately for Thunder Basin, in part due to injuries. The Bolts absorbed a 50-26 loss to Cheyenne East on Friday, concluding the weekend with a mark of 6-6.
