The cross country season is rolling along and hits its midpoint this week.

The state championships in Afton are just a month away.

Here are results of meets that involve Wyoming high school teams.

Thursday, Sept. 26:

Warrior Invitational

The Cody Fillies placed five runners in the top 11 and won in Worland by seven points over Lander Valley. In the boys' division, Lander took five of the top six spots for a near-perfect score.

Individually, Cody's Riley Smith won the girls' race by nearly 28 seconds. Lander's Kaleb Simonson beat his teammate by about 19 seconds for first-place in boys' race.

Friday, Sept. 27:

Glen Legler Natrona XC Meet (at Paradise Valley Golf Club) - Buffalo, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Torrington, Wright

Natrona sophomore Hailie Wilhelm won the girls' 5K race by 23 seconds. Natrona senior Mason Henry captured the boys' title by nearly 53 seconds. NC swept both teams titles.

Shana Ward Memorial Invitational (at Saratoga Inn Golf Course) - Saratoga, Pine Bluffs/Burns, Rawlins, Mountain View, Lyman, Wheatland

Rawlins star Sydney Thorvaldson dominated the 5K girls' race and helped the Outlaws win the team title, as well, by 1 point over Lyman.

Travis Harmon won the boys' 5K race and helped the Buffaloes win the team crown by 24 points.

Rapid City Invite (at Hart Ranch Resort in Rapid City, SD) - Gillette, Laramie, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, Thunder Basin

Laramie's Abigail Whitman was the runner-up in the girls' division. Laramie placed 3rd in the girls' team standings.

Laramie's Mason Swingholm won the race by five seconds. The Plainsmen took third place as a team.

Sweetheart Invitational (Loveland, CO) - Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South

Cheyenne East's Emma Jacobsen finished in 7th place. East took 4th as a team in the girls' division.

Cheyenne East's Cactus Rogers took 6th place. The Thunderbirds came 7th as a team.

Park City Invitational (Park City, UT) - Evanston, Rock Springs

Shauntil Longfellow of Rock Springs has the best girls' finish race of 44th. Evanston girls were 16th as a team.

Evanston's Dawson Crofts was the top boys' finisher in 22nd. The Red Devils came 11th, while Rock Springs took 15th place.
