Wyoming High School fall sports are here. First to make its debut is the six-week fall golf season.

After just a few days of practice, golfers take to the links on Wednesday through Friday.

The season leads up to this year’s championships, which will be in Wright (Class 2A), Buffalo (Class 3A), and Rock Springs (Class 4A) on Sept. 16 and 17, 2022.

Here is the schedule for Week 1 of the golf season. All schedules are subject to change.

Wednesday, Aug. 10:

Snake River Shootout: Day 1 in Afton – at Valley View G.C.Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Lander, Lyman, Pinedale, Riverton, Star Valley

Green River's Isabell Salas and Riverton's Parker Paxton posted victories in Afton. Salas won the girls' medalist honor by 7 shots, while Paxton took the boys' division by 3 shots. The Star Valley girls won on their home course, while Jackson topped the boys' team race.

Sheridan Invite – at Kendrick G.C.Buffalo, Campbell County, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Sheridan's Samantha Spielman and Brock Owings win on their home course. Spielman won by 5 shots, while Owings won by 4 shots. The Sheridan girls and Kelly Walsh boys won the team titles.

Thursday, Aug. 11:

Glenrock Invite – at Glenrock G.C.Big Horn, Glenrock, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright

Sundance's Sheridan Schubarth won by two shots in the girls' division. Upton's Bridger Bruce took first by one shot in the boys' division. The Upton girls and Glenrock boys won the team titles.

Park County Shootout in Powell – at Powell G.C.Buffalo, Cody, Kemmerer, Lovell, Powell, Sheridan (Thursday only), Thermopolis, Worland

Erika Cook of Lovell led the field on the girls' side with a four-under, 68. Sheridan's Brock Owings fired a two-under, 70 to pace the boys. Not all players are returning for Day 2.

Girls Team Scores = Sheridan 246, Cody, 317, Lovell 318

Boys Team Scores = Sheridan 314, Worland 345, Lovell 348, Cody 356, Kemmerer 363, Powell 368

Snake River Shootout: Day 2 in Jackson – at Jackson Hole Golf & TennisEvanston, Jackson, Lander, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Among the players that played both days of the Shootout, Jackson's Gracen Rosenberg won by four shots. Riverton's Parker Paxton also finished with a four-shot victory. The Star Valley girls and Jackson boys held on for the team crowns.

Wheatland Invitational – at Wheatland G.C.Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Laramie, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Cheyenne Central's Katie Cobb fired an 82 and has a four-shot lead in the girls' division. Cheyenne South's Jaden Wakamatsu and Cheyenne Central's Caden Cunningham share the lead after opening-round 74s.

Friday, Aug. 12:

Park County Shootout in Powell – at Powell G.C.Buffalo, Cody, Kemmerer, Lovell, Powell, Thermopolis, Worland

Lovell's Erika Cook and Worland's Landon Gilmore won the girls and boys divisions, respectively. Cook won by 47 shots, while Gilmore took first by 2 shots. The Cody girls and Lovell boys won the team titles.

Wheatland Invitational – at Wheatland G.C.Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Douglas, Laramie, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Central's Katie Cobb & Caden Cunningham swept the medalist honors. Cobb won by 11 shots, while Cunningham won by 3 shots.

The Cheyenne Central girls and Cheyenne East boys won the team titles.
