Week 2 of the indoor track season sees more meets on the schedule, which means teams are spread out for competition.

Gillette has the biggest meet in the state on Saturday. A few teams are competing in Cheyenne. A handful of teams is also heading to Utah.

This is the schedule for the first weekend of indoor track. Schedules are subject to change.

Friday, Jan. 20:

BYU HS Indoor Invitational at Smith Fieldhouse in Provo, UT: Track Events start at 3:45 p.m.; Field Events start at 5 p.m.

Teams Attending: Evanston, Green River, Mountain View, Star Valley

Jasmine Tapia from Evanston was 4th in the girls' 2-mile. Owen Burnett of Mountain View was 2nd in the boys' 2-mile. Valerie Jirak of Star Valley was 2nd in the girls' high jump, and Jaylee Antonino of Mountain View was 4th. Green River's Amanda Davis was 3rd in the girls' weight throw. Dillon Davis of GRHS was runner-up in the boys' weight throw.

Saturday, Jan. 21:

Campbell County Invite from the Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse in Gillette: Field Events start at 10 a.m.; Track Events start at 11 a.m. & are on a rolling schedule

Teams Attending: Big Horn, Buffalo, Campbell County, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Cody, Douglas, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Lander, Laramie, Lovell, Natrona County, Pinedale, Powell, Rawlins, Riverton, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Worland.

Ryann Smith of Rawlins was the only 2-event winner on the girls' side with wins in the 800 & 1600 meters.

Marik Cummings from East won the 55 & 200 meters. Natrona's Jackson Dutcher won the 800 & 1600 meters. NC's Kaiden Lee captured the high jump & triple jump.

No team scores were kept.

Kevin Salverson Invitational from the Cheyenne Central HS Fieldhouse: Field Events & Track Events start at 10 a.m.

Teams Attending: Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Rock Springs, Torrington, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy

Averie Perriton from Central won the 55-meter hurdles,1600 meters, and high jump.

Women's Team Scores: Torrington 124, Central 121.50, East 85.50, Rock Springs 67, Burns/Pine Bluffs 26, South 5.

Men's Team Scores: Central 141, Torrington 116, Rock Springs 63, East 60, Burns/Pine Bluffs 29, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy 3, South 1.

Teams Attending: Cheyenne Central, Evanston, Green River, Mountain View, Star Valley

Central's Sydney Morrell won the 800 meters at 2:20.16 and finished 2nd in the 1-mile race.
