Week 7 of the Wyoming prep track and field season brings us to the end of April.

The post-season is just two weeks away (regional track meets).

There is at least one track meet scheduled each day this week in the state. The weekend gets very busy.

MONDAY, APRIL 24:

Natrona County Invitational in Casper – Campbell County, Cody, Dubois, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Newcastle, Rawlins, Saratoga, St. Stephens, Wheatland, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.

Girls Team Scores = Natrona County 220.50, Kelly Walsh 175, Rawlins 82.50, Laramie 58, Saratoga 55, Wheatland 49, Newcastle 14, Wind River 9, Wyoming Indian 9.

Boys Team Scores = Natrona County 254.33, Kelly Walsh 136.83, Laramie 134.50, Rawlins 44, Wheatland 33.50, Wind River 31, Newcastle 11.83, Saratoga 9, Wyoming Indian 7.

Ryann Smith of Rawlins won the 800 & 1600 meters, and her teammate Eva Nitschke swept the hurdles. Natrona's Mackenzie Bradach won the 100 meters & long jump. Teagan Becker of Kelly Walsh swept the throws. Laramie's Christopher Gonzales swept the boys' throws.

Out-of-State events:

Northern Hills Invite in Belle Fourche, SD – Hulett, Sundance.

Girls team results = Sundance 12th, Hulett 13th. Boys team results = Sundance 4th, Hulett 14th.

Ryder Downey of Sundance won the 800 meters. Keaton Mills from Sundance won the high jump & discus. Hulett's girls took 3rd in the 4x800 relay.

TUESDAY, APRIL 25:

Basin Nation Invitational #1 at Thunder Basin HS in Gillette – Campbell County, Douglas, Moorcroft, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Wheatland, Wright.

Girls Team Scores = Thunder Basin 190, Sheridan 184, Campbell County 92, Douglas 74.50, Moorcroft 29.50, Wheatland 27.

Boys Team Scores = Sheridan 229.50, Thunder Basin 203.50, Douglas 106.50, Campbell County 62, Moorcroft 20, Wheatland 8.50, Wright 2.

Averi Sullivan of Sheridan won the 200 & 400 meters on the lady's side. For gents, Trennan Pearson of Douglas won the high jump & long jump. 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26:

Rick and Wendy Schuler Invitational in Evanston – Evanston, Farson-Eden, Green River, Kemmerer, Lyman, Mountain View, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Riverton at Lander track dual (middle school results are mixed in, for now)

Girls = Lander 83, Riverton 52; Boys = Lander 83, Riverton 53.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27:

Basin Nation Invitational #2 at Thunder Basin HS in Gillette – Campbell County, Thunder Basin, Upton

Girls Team Scores = Thunder Basin 284.50, Campbell County 142, Upton High School 99.50.

Boys Team Scores = Campbell County 242, Thunder Basin 212, Upton 71.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28:

Buffalo Not-A-Twilight – Arvada-Clearmont, Big Horn, Cody, Douglas, Glenrock, Kaycee, Newcastle, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Tongue River.

Mountain Man Track Meet in Pinedale – Big Piney, Farson-Eden, Cokeville, Green River, Kemmerer, Mountain View, Pinedale.

Scott Hardy Memorial in Wright – H.E.M., Hulett, Kaycee, Midwest, Moorcroft, Rock River, Sundance, Wright.

T-Town Qualifier in Torrington – Burns, Cheyenne South, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Lusk, Pine Bluffs, Southeast, Torrington.

Wyoming Track Classic in Casper at KWHS – top 9 marks and ties in field events & top 8 times in track events are invited to compete – only 2 events per athlete.

Out-of-State events:

Clint Wells Invitational in Craig, CO – Little Snake River.

Longmont Invitational in Longmont, CO – Cheyenne East.

Tiger-Grizz Invitational in Idaho Falls, ID – Jackson, Star Valley.
