High school track and field teams will begin their season of competition in the Cowboy State this weekend.

Originally, there were six events on the schedule, but the weather has chopped a few off.

Schedules are subject to change.

FRIDAY, MARCH 19:

Buffalo Dual at noon – Buffalo, Sheridan

Final Women's Team Scores: Sheridan 86 Buffalo 59

Megan Hodges and Alex Cameron of Sheridan won two events apiece.

Final Men's Team Scores: Sheridan 95 Buffalo 31

Nicholas Hale of Sheridan won two events.

Girls Team Scores: Kemmerer 139, Worland 117, H.E.M. 70, Saratoga 49, Wind River 39, Dubois 23, Shoshoni 20, Encampment 18, Greybull 16.5, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy 9.5

Kiana Swan of Shoshoni won the 800 & 1600 meters. Taylar Scott from H.E.M. won the 100-meters and triple jump. Whitney Bennett of Saratoga was first-place in the 200-meters and long jump.

Boys Team Scores: Worland 169.24, Kemmerer 109, Saratoga 71, Dubois 69, Wind River 57, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy 40, Encampment 17, H.E.M. 14, Greybull 14, Shoshoni 3.75

Kaden Dower from Western Heritage Lutheran Academy took first in the shot put, discus, and 100-meter dash. Colby Jenks of Wind River captured the 800-meters & 300-meter hurdles. Owen Burnette of Kemmerer won the distance races, the 1600 & 3200 meters. Colton Woffinden from Worland swept the long jump and triple jump.
