Another rivalry in Week 6 is the WyoPreps Small School Game of the Week, as top-ranked Little Snake River visits No. 4 Encampment on Saturday.

The Rattlers enter this game at 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. The Tigers are 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in league play.

These two are long-time Carbon County rivals. Even though the football series is very limited, these two have a rivalry separated by a mountain.

WyoPreps spoke to Rattlers head coach Jack Cobb and Tigers head coach Kegan Willford. Both coaches discussed how their team is playing, some unsung heroes on their squad, and what they see the other doing well. Both touched on the rivalry and how they know their players will be ready to play in this game and also stressed the importance of executing since they know each other well.

Thanks to records at wyoming-football.com, this is only the fifth football game between LSR and Encampment. The Tigers have won two and the Rattlers have won two. Little Snake River won both games last year, including 65-24 in the state championship. The first game in the series was in 1956.

The game is set for a 2 p.m. start on Saturday at Encampment.
