Sabey led the Lyman Eagles to their first win in program history over rival Mountain View, 3-2. Her nomination from a coach, said it all, “Karly was instrumental in Lyman's win over Mountain View last Wednesday. She scored 2 of the 3 goals and had 1 assist. She was also excellent defensively and showed true leadership on the field.” Sabey’s second goal was the game-winner with just over 20 minutes left.

WyoPreps visited with Sabey about the big win, her goals, where she and her teammates are improving, and more.

Vasco set a single-game school record and played a part in 12 goals during Green River’s 13-1 victory last Thursday. The nomination from a coach said, “Isabel had a great game this week in Green River’s first conference game. She is a captain on the varsity squad and scored 10 goals in this first conference game. That is a new record for Green River in a single game. She broke her own record she achieved last year as a freshman. She also had 2 assists in that game. Isabel plays hard every game and is a role model for her teammates.”

Vasco spoke with WyoPreps about her amazing performance. We joked about how she scored 10 goals, how they happened, and if she let anyone else take shots. All kidding aside, Vasco described the help from her team, where the Wolves have improved and where she’s improved, and more.

Piekkola led the Buffalos to two conference wins last week. He scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick with less than one minute left at Pinedale and followed that with a hat trick in a road win over rival Lyman. His nomination stated, “Nash led the Buffalos to 2 consecutive wins this week. He had 5 goals and 2 assists which were critical for Mountain View's victories.”

Nash chatted with WyoPreps on Wednesday about the good start to 3A West Conference action, the drama of the late PK at Pinedale, his thought process of those, the big game against the rival, where Mountain View has improved, having his mom as head coach, and more.

Congrats to Karly, Isabel, and  Nash!
