Thermopolis runner McKenna Bomengen will be taking her skills north to Helana, Montana to compete for NAIA Carroll College. In cross country, Bomengen is a 4-time all-state selection with 4 top 10 finishes. She took 8th at the state meet in 2019, 8th in 2018, 7th in 2017 and 9th as a freshman in 2016.

Bomengen also made a name for herself in track and field with top 10 finishes at the 3A state track meet in the 800-meter run, as well as the 1600 and the 3200. She took 7th in the 800, 5th in the 1600 and 8th in the 3200 in 2019. Bomengen made substantial improvements in the 800, and the 1600 from her sophomore to junior seasons.

This 3 sport athlete was an all-conference basketball player as she averaged 10 points a game for her Bobcat squad.
