
Kemmerer Wrestler Graison Kelley Signs with Briar Cliff Univ.
Kemmerer's Graison Kelley has really come on strong in the last two seasons of wrestling and won a 2A State Championship in 2025 at 165 pounds. He will be taking his skills to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, to join the wrestling program, and his brother Ayden, who already competes there.
At the 2025 2A State Tournament in Casper, Kelley won the gold medal at 165 with a victory over Sam Skelton of Thermopolis and posted 4 pins in the tournament. He finished his senior season with a record of 40-11. In his junior year, Kelley was the 2A runner-up at 165 after a grueling 4-3 loss to Brody Sorenson of Thermopolis in the championship match. He recorded 3 falls at the State Tournament and went 37-10 on the year.
Kelley wrestled at 160 in his sophomore season, going 34-18 and taking 4th at the 2A State Tournament. As a freshman, he placed 6th at State at 138 pounds in 2A with a season record of 31-21.
Kelley also had 2 wins in his senior season at the prestigious Ron Thon Tournament and a couple of wins in his sophomore season. Briar Cliff University is a NAIA institution and is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
