Riverton and Douglas played a hard-fought game with 3A playoff seedings on the line with neither team surrendering very much.  After a scoreless first quarter, Douglas scored first on a 23-yard pass from A.J. Yeaman to Sutton Perry that resulted in a touchdown to put the Bearcats in front 7-0

Riverton came right back and found the end zone thanks to a 1-yard plunge from Trayton Hyatt so that evened the game at 7

In a defensive struggle, neither team scored in the 3rd quarter or the 4th quarter. Which forced overtime. Douglas scored in the extra session on a 6 yard run for a TD from Gabe Borman to win this one over Riverton 13-7

Douglas now as the 4th seed from the east in the 3A playoffs has the unenviable task of traveling to Afton to meet defending champion and undefeated star valley on Friday afternoon. The Cats will go into that game at 5-3. Riverton is 4-5 but landed a 2 seed and will host Jackson on Friday in the opening round of the postseason.
