Addy Schilling from Cheyenne East Signs for Soccer at Gillette College
Cheyenne East senior Addy Schilling will further her soccer career. She is heading to Gillette College next fall. The senior endorsed her National Letter of Intent last week with the Pronghorns program. Schilling is a three-year starter for the Thunderbirds. She has played center-back on defense for Cheyenne East and will play her senior season this spring.
Schilling has helped the Thunderbirds reach the 4A soccer state tournament in her first three seasons on the pitch. Cheyenne East was second at the 4A East Regional tournament last spring.
In her junior year, Schilling anchored a defense that allowed only 23 goals in 20 games of the 2023 season. She added one assist from her defender spot.
Besides high school soccer in Wyoming, Schilling played club soccer last fall for Laramie United after several seasons with the Fort Collins Arsenal.
Gillette College brought back athletics in the fall of 2023. They compete at the JUCO level of college sports. The Pronghorns are in Region IX. They finished last season at 1-11-1.
