It's a shame that athletes work hard for the entire season and then their bodies break down. In the 3A  182 pound final. Star Valley's Zac Patterson suffered a knee injury but continues on against Grayson Beaudrie of Cody, What followed was an unreal sequence of wrestling with boys guys nearly getting pinned and both guys ringing up points. Patterson's injury proved too much as he had to withdraw starting the 3rd period. Grayson Beaudrie is your 3A 182 pound champion and he was a tough customer on the mat and finished the year with a 38-7 record. Patterson was 45-1 and it was an extremely tough way to end his prep career. The 3rd place finisher at this weight in 3A was Brandon Beck of Star Valley with Kael Matthews of Douglas taking 4th.

In 4A, a couple of sophomores went at it for the 182-pound crown as Natrona's Noah Sides took on Ian Dickinson of Rock Springs. Now Dickinson had some early control in the match but also was cautioned.  As it turned out, Dickinson was disqualified giving Sides the victory and the state championship. Sides posted a record this season of 32012 and Dickinson was 34-18. Trevor Eldridge of Cheyenne East was 3rd and Natrona's Josef Sanchez was 4th.

Finally, in 2A, Landon Walker of Cokeville capped a 36-4 season with a pin over Haydan Huyser of Glenrock. Walker pinned all four of his opponents in the tournament and a year ago, he placed 3rd at 182. Huyser wraps up the season with a mark of 31-9. In 3rd place, it was Miles Ashurst from Lusk with Adam Stainbrook of Tongue River taking 4th.
