Tongue River Edges Moorcroft for 1st Win of 2024

Tongue River had a gifted senior class a year ago and the Eagles are in a rebuild/reload process this season. Tongue River won its first game of the year in 2A football over the weekend with a 14-0 victory over Moorcroft.

TR got a touchdown reception from Hagen Walker and converted the 2-point try. The Eagles also for a TD run from Caleb Vollmar but at the end of the day, Tongue River's defense was stellar. They lost their first 2 games of the season to Thermopolis and Burns so maybe they're turning the corner. Defensive efforts like that will really help.

Moorcroft started the season with a loss to Kemmerer and then came back with a win over Glenrock so the Wolves are 1-[2 on the season. Tongue River will be at Newcastle on Thursday while Moorcroft will host Upton-Sundance on Friday.
