The postseason of high school track and field in Wyoming begins this weekend with regional competitions.

The regional meets will be at five venues across the state. Newcastle is hosting three classifications, while Shoshoni has two.

The top eight in individual events and the top four in relays will qualify for next week’s state championships in Casper.

Here are the regional track meets and their start times at the five venues. All regional meets will stay on a schedule to allow student-athletes rest time in-between events.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY, MAY 13 & 14

1A, 2A, 3A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Newcastle

Schedule: 9:30 a.m. start on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday

1A Teams: Arvada-Clearmont, Chugwater, Glendo, Guernsey-Sunrise, H.E.M., Hulett, Kaycee, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Midwest, Rock River, Southeast, Upton

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Southeast's Jordan Stoddard won the 100, 200, high jump, & long jump. Lingle's Natalie Speckner won the 800 & 1600 meters. Kaycee's Karcee Maya won the 400 meters & both hurdle races. Southeast's Shelby Ekwall swept the 2 throwing events.

BOYS INDIVIDUALS - Ryan Clapper from Southeast won the 100 & 200 meters. Lingle's Kyland Fuller captured the 400 & 800 meters. Teammate Myles Wilson won the 2 long-distance races. Lingle's Louden Bremer won the 2 hurdle events. Upton's Luca Brooks won the long & triple jumps. Lingle's Boyd Oliver won the throwing events.

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Isabella Taylor from Glenrock won both sprint races. Mallory Jones of Moorcroft won the 800, 1600, & 3200 meters. Big Horn's Peyton McLaughlin won the 2 hurdles races.

BOYS INDIVIDUALS - Garrett Ostler of Tongue River won the 200, 400, & long jump. Teammate Al Spotted won the 800 & 3200 meters.

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Wheatland's Desirae Iacovetto won the 2 sprint races. Rawlins' Ryann Smith captured the 800, 1600, & 3200 meters. Teammate Eva Nitschke won both hurdle races. Wheatland's Lily Nichols won the 400 meters & long jump. Torrington's Sierra Allen won both the discus & shot put.

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Cokeville's Bryli Groll won the 400, 800, & 1600 meters. Teammate Emmie Barnes won the 100 meters, 100 hurdles, & long jump. Saratoga's Whitney Bennett took 1st in the 300 hurdles & triple jump.

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Riverside's Vaidyn Vanderploeg won the 100 & 200 meters. Wind River's Mina King finished 1st in the 400 meters & high jump.

BOYS INDIVIDUALS - Jaycee Herbert of Wind River won both sprint races. Colby Jenks of Big Piney won the 400, 800, 1600, & 300 hurdles.  

3A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Kemmerer

Schedule: Noon start on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday

3A Teams: Kemmerer, Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Powell, Worland

Powell swept the team crowns in Kemmerer.

GIRLS INDIVIDUALS - Powell's Jenna Hillman won the 100 & 200 meters. Mountain View's Katie Giorgis won the 400 meters & 300 hurdles. Lander swept all 4 relays.

BOYS INDIVIDUALS - Lovell's Ben Nichols won the 100 & 400 meters. Tanner Erickson of Mountain View captured the 800 & 1600 meters. Lander's Gage Gose swept the 2 hurdle races. Zach Ratcliff of Powell won the long & triple jumps. Lovell's Quinn Lindsay swept the 2 throwing events.

4A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Laramie

Schedule: Noon start on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

The Kelly Walsh girls and Sheridan boys won the team titles.

4A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Casper at Natrona County HS

Schedule: Noon start on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Cody, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Natrona County sweeps the team titles on their home track.
