The 2023 postseason of high school track and field in Wyoming begins this weekend with regional competitions.

The regional track meets will be at six venues across the state. Both Shoshoni and Torrington are hosting two classifications over the two days.

The top eight in individual events and the top four in relays will qualify for next week’s state championships in Casper.

Here are the regional track meets and their start times at the six venues. All regional meets will stay on a schedule to allow student-athletes rest time in-between events.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY, MAY 12 & 13

1A & 2A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Shoshoni

Schedule: Noon & 1:45 p.m. start on Friday and 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday

1A Teams: Burlington, Cokeville, Dubois, Encampment, Farson-Eden, Little Snake River, Meeteetse, Riverside, Saratoga, Ten Sleep, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy

2A Teams: Big Piney, Greybull, Kemmerer, Rocky Mountain, Shoshoni, St. Stephens, Wind River, Wyoming Indian

Team champions were the Saratoga and Big Piney girls and the Burlington and Big Piney boys.

1A & 2A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Torrington

Schedule: Noon & 1 p.m. start on Friday and 9 & 9:30 a.m. on Saturday

1A Teams: Arvada-Clearmont, Chugwater, Glendo, Guernsey-Sunrise, H.E.M., Hulett, Kaycee, Midwest, Rock River, Southeast, Upton

2A Teams: Big Horn, Burns, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Lusk, Pine Bluffs, Sundance, Tongue River, Wright

Team champions were the Southeast and Lingle-Ft. Laramie girls and the Southeast and Tongue River boys.

3A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Worland

Schedule: Noon & 12:15 p.m. start on Friday and 9 & 9:15 a.m. on Saturday

3A Teams: Lander, Lovell, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Powell, Thermopolis, Worland

Team champions were Powell girls and Mountain View boys.

3A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Rawlins

Schedule: Noon & 12:15 p.m. start on Friday and 9 & 9:15 a.m. on Saturday

3A Teams: Buffalo, Douglas, Glenrock, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Rawlins, Torrington, Wheatland

Team champions were the Buffalo girls and Torrington boys.

4A East Regional Track and Field Championships in Gillette (at Thunder Basin HS)

Schedule: Noon & 1 p.m. start on Friday and 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Natrona County, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Natrona County swept the team titles.

4A West Regional Track and Field Championships in Cody

Schedule: 11 a.m. & Noon start on Friday and 9 & 10 a.m. on Saturday

4A Teams: Cody, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley

Cody swept the team titles.
