PhotoFest: State Wrestling 3A Finals
Green River repeated as the 3A State Champions in wrestling with 5 titlists that were crowned on Saturday in Casper. Kale Knezovich earned his 4th State Championship as he won the 157-pound weight class. He's one of just 30 wrestlers to win 4 state titles and was hurt most of this season. His teammate Lucas Todd won his 2nd state championship as he prevailed at 113 pounds.
Pinedale 120-pounder Ryan Nutt won another state title along with Zach Covolo of Rawlins at 132, Pinedale's Jake Hammer at 138, and Lyman's Morgan Hatch at 190 pounds. Rawlins freshman Hudson Baker won the 106-pound championship and went an astounding 51-0 this season. Team-wise, Green River had 242 points, Pinedale 2nd with 212. Cody placed 3rd with 171, Powell 4th with 147.5, and Rawlins 5th with 147. Here is the rundown of the top 6 in each weight class.
