It’s the second week for competitions during the 2021 indoor track season. Two more qualifying meets are on the schedule with one in Casper and another in Gillette.

A third meet is also set for Thursday but that is a non-qualifying meet with a limited field.

Just a reminder of a few of the changes. Regular-season meets have a limit of 300 participants. Those will be broken down on a school-by-school basis for each track meet. There are no fans at any of the regular-season meets.

Thursday, Jan. 21:

This was a non-qualifying meet. Results here do not count towards times or marks for the state championships.

Saturday, Jan. 23:

Girls Team Scores: Natrona County 211, Evanston 103, Star Valley 98, Mountain View 42, Green River 40, Worland 25, Western Heritage Lutheran 3

Elena Jensen of Mountain View sweeps the 1600 and 3200 meters.

Boys Team Scores: Natrona County 195, Star Valley 109, Evanston 65, Mountain View 42, Worland 41, Green River 37, Western Heritage Lutheran 11

Star Valley's Peter Visser won the 1600 and 3200 meters. Natrona County's Nolan Valdez won the 200 meters and triple jump.

Girls Team Scores: Cheyenne East 140.50, Kelly Walsh 118, Cody 116.50, Lovell 52, Rawlins 30, Douglas 25, Riverton 21

Taliah Morris of East wins all four of her events, the 55-meters, 200 meters, long jump, and triple jump. Sydney Thorvaldson of Rawlins sweeps the 1600 and 3200 meters.

Boys Team Scores: Kelly Walsh 156.50, Cheyenne East 137.50, Lovell 106, Cody 65, Douglas 39, Riverton 36, Rawlins 21

Kelly Walsh had two individuals, Darius Wiggins (200 & 400 meters) and Kyson Miller (800 & 1600 meters) win two events. East's Kaliff Guevara won the long jump and triple jump.

With limitations on the number of participants, not every team will have a chance to compete during each weekend of this season.
