Compared to the girls’ poll, the third WyoPreps Coaches and Media Boys’ Basketball Poll is steady.

Three of the four classifications did not change, and there is only one new team in the poll this week.

Cheyenne Central, Worland, Rocky Mountain, and Saratoga remain at the top of their respective division.

The only class that changed was 2A. There are a total of four changes. The top-ranked Rocky Mountain Grizzlies held their position and are the only unanimous No. 1 in this week’s rankings. The next four spots all changed. Big Piney moves up one spot to second, while Tongue River jumps from five to three. The Punchers and Eagles are separated by three points in the balloting. The only new team in the rankings this week is the Sundance Bulldogs. They return to the top five in Class 2A at No. 4. Pine Bluffs slides down to fifth in this division. Four other schools received at least one vote.

Considering every team in the top five of Class 4A was undefeated last week, no movement was expected. Cheyenne Central earned 16 of the 21 votes for No. 1. Sheridan garnered four first-place votes and holds in second. The Broncs are followed by Thunder Basin, Cheyenne East, and Campbell County. Two more teams got two votes apiece.

Class 3A is also the same as a week ago. Worland had widened its lead for the No. 1 ranking after a 3-0 start. Lander stays second, and the Tigers are followed by Powell, Douglas, and Rawlins. Three more schools earned at least one vote this week.

Finally, in Class 1A, the Saratoga Panthers’ reign on top continues. They received seven of the nine first-place votes. Farson-Eden holds onto second, but the Pronghorns are only six points in the balloting ahead of No. 3 Encampment. Upton and Southeast hold in fourth and fifth, respectively. One other team received a vote in this week’s polling.
