There were no changes in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll released on Wednesday by WyoPreps.com. Despite teams within the top five taking losses last week at the Eastside and Westside tournaments, the top five held their positions. That means Campbell County was still No. 1.

WYOPREPS WEEKLY SOFTBALL RANKINGS ON MAY 6, 2026

The Camels received 19 of the 22 first-place votes in the latest poll. They suffered their third loss of the year to No. 3 Cheyenne East last Saturday, 4-3. Campbell County’s season-long effort has impressed enough voters that they held onto the top spot. Cheyenne Central went 3-3 last week with two of those defeats to the Camels and fourth-rated Bolts. The Indians managed to snag a couple of votes for the top spot and kept their position at No. 2. The Thunderbirds were 3-1 last week with two victories over top-five opponents, but Cheyenne East remained third. Thunder Basin was 4-2 last week, which included 2-2 in the tournament, but the Bolts held steady. Laramie was 3-1 at the Westside tournament in Cody, which included a loss to the host Fillies, but the Plainsmen held onto the fifth position.

Cody was one of five other teams that received votes. The Fillies even got a nod for No. 1.
