WyoPreps Weekly Softball Scoreboard for April 28

The regular season of Wyoming High School softball is quickly winding down. Week 7 takes us into May at the end of the week. Besides a few conference and cross-quad games, the big events are the two softball invites in Cody and Gillette. Cody has the Westside Softball Tournament between Northwest and Southwest Conference teams. Gillette hosts the Eastside Softball Tournament with Northeast and Southeast teams squaring off over two days.

WYOPREPS WEEK 7 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE 2026

The Westside Tournament was modified to include some conference make-up games for Jackson against the two Casper schools. Teams will still play four games, but you will face three opponents from the other conference and one within your own to balance the schedule. The Eastside Tournament was updated but still features four cross-quad games for every team. Here is the full schedule for Week 7.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28

Final Score: Sheridan 13 #5 Cody 2 - Leading 6-0 in the 6th, Sheridan exploded for 7 runs to put the game away. The Broncs had 16 hits, including 2 home runs by Kelley. They also had 6 doubles. Kelley finished with 3 hits & 4 RBIs. Howe added 4 hits & drove in 3.

Final Score: Sheridan 5 #5 Cody 1 - A 3-run 2nd inning proved to be the difference for the Broncs. Kelley allowed 1 run on 7 hits and got the win in the circle. Atter had 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: #1 Campbell County 20 Kelly Walsh 8 - The Camels used a 7-run 1st inning to propel themselves to the victory. KW got within 13-8, but Campbell County scored the last 7 runs. Thayer had 3 hits & 6 RBIs, while Muffie added 3 hits & drove in 5. The Camels hit 4 home runs.

Final Score: #1 Campbell County 9 Kelly Walsh 5 - The Camels scored 5 runs in the 4th and 5th innings to pull out the sweep. Thayer had 2 doubles & 1 HR with 4 RBIs.

Final Score: #4 Thunder Basin 16 Natrona County 6 - The Bolts used an 8-run 3rd inning to take the lead and finished it off with 6 runs in the 7th. Carter had 3 hits, including a double, & 2 RBIS. Means and Kennedy added 2 hits & 2 RBIs each.

Final Score: #4 Thunder Basin 8 Natrona County 4 - TB scored 6 runs in the 6th to pull out the win. Rouse homered, and Kennedy added 2 doubles & 2 RBIs.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29

Final Score: Wheatland 11 #2 Cheyenne Central 10 (conference game) - The Bulldogs rallied from 5-2 and 7-4 deficits to win it in the 7th. Wheatland scored 2 runs on Karley Adams' HR. Vaughn got Aragon to strike out swinging with 2 runners on in the bottom of the 7th. Huston led the Bulldogs with 2 hits (3B) & 3 RBIs. Central was led by Pineda, who had 3 hits (2-2B) & 3 RBIs.

Final Score: #2 Cheyenne Central 8 Wheatland 7 (conference game) - After Wheatland rallied with 5 runs in the 6th to take a 7-6 lead, Central won it with 2 in the bottom of the inning. Birt's triple tied the game at 6-6, and Condor had the game-winning, walk-off RBI single to RF. Pineda led the Indians with 3 hits, including 1 HR & drove in 1 run. Erickson also homered. Adams had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. She homered in this game, as well.

Final Score: Jackson 12 Kelly Walsh 2 (conference game) - The Broncs won their 1st game of the season thanks to a 7-run 4th inning and 4 more in the 5th. Z. Green had a 3-run HR for Jackson. Earl and Vetter contributed 2 hits & 2 RBIs each. Jackson also took advantage of 6 errors and 5 stolen bases.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 17 Jackson 1 (conference game) - The Trojans won the nightcap. They scored 8 runs in the 1st and never trailed. Dimick had 2 hits (2B) & 4 RBIs. KW benefited from 13 walks & 3 stolen bases.

THURSDAY, APRIL 30

Westside Softball Tournament in Cody

Final Score: Cody 7 Cheyenne South 0 - Nielsen tossed a 4-hit shutout with 8 Ks and 1 walk. A 4-run 4th capped it for the Fillies. Teten had 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Cody.

Final Score: #5 Laramie 9 Natrona County 7 - 1 run in both the 4th and 5th helps Laramie to the win. Christensen led the Plainsmen with 2 hits, including 1 HR, & 3 RBIs. NC got 2 hits (2B) & 2 RBIs from Britton.

Final Score: Cheyenne South 7 Jackson 5 - A 4-run 3rd was the difference for the Bison. Pushcar had 2 hits (3B) & 3 RBIs. Jackson got 2 hits & 1 RBI from Morgan.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 15 Green River 5 - A 10-run 1st inning propelled the Trojans to the victory. Sisco had 4 hits (2-2B) & 4 RBIs. Clarkson added 2 hits & 4 RBIs for KW.

Final Score: Cody 11 #5 Laramie 8 - Down 1-0, Cody scored 10 runs in the 1st inning on 6 hits, 3 errors, a hit batter, and two walks. Reinker produced 3 hits, 3 RBIs, and scored 2 runs, while C. Lindemann added 2 hits & 3 RBIs for Cody.

Final Score: Natrona County 4 Rock Springs 2 - NC jumped out to a 4-1 lead through 3 innings and held off the Tigers. Bretz got the win in the circle with 10 strikeouts. Maxwell had 1 hit & drove in 2 runs.

Final Score: Green River 10 Jackson 6 - The Wolves scored 8 runs over their last 2 at-bats to beat the Broncs. Lopez led GR with 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Luth added 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Green led Jackson with 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 3 Rock Springs 2 - The Trojans scored 3 times in the 1st inning and held on. Sisco led KW with 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Florencio homered for RS in the 3rd.
