The latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll was released on Thursday.

There was a new top-ranked team in Class 1A for the first time this season. Two teams joined the top five.

The Southeast Cyclones take over the top spot. They were one of five teams that received first-place votes. Southeast garnered four of them, along with votes for second, third, and fourth, which pushed them to the top. Kaycee fell one spot to second. Little Snake River, Riverside, and Saratoga remained third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. The Rebels earned the second-most first-place votes with three. Six other teams received votes, which means there’s some uncertainty in Class 1A amongst the voters.

Class 2A had the most change. Big Horn still topped the poll as a unanimous No. 1. The Rams got all 12 first-place votes. Burns moved up one to second this week. That dropped Tongue River to third. Rocky Mountain re-entered the rankings at No. 4. Sundance held in fifth, despite a home conference loss last weekend.

The top four are the same in Class 3A. Mountain View stayed No. 1 with nine of the 11 first-place votes. The Buffalos are followed by rival Lyman. Pinedale stayed third, but the Wranglers are only three points in the voting ahead of Douglas. Newcastle makes its debut in the rankings at No. 5, which pushed Buffalo out of the top five.

Finally, in Class 4A, the top stayed the same. Kelly Walsh was a unanimous pick at the top again. The Trojans got all 16 first-place votes. Thunder Basin and Cody are second and third. The next two traded spots, as Laramie moved to fourth, and Natrona County dropped to fifth.
