Gillette, Rawlins, Tongue River, and Upton hosted events on the links this week.

Tongue River hosted a one day event at Kendrick Golf Course in Sheridan.   CLICK FOR RESULTS

Evanston hosted a two day event at Purple Sage.

Jordan Costello of Pinedale and Nathen Green of Green River each carded a 151 to lead the boys finish. For the girls Ashley Leum of Rock Springs won with a 176.

Teamwise, Evanston shot a 642 to win the boys team title. They were followed by Green River 668, Riverton 668, Jackson 678, Star Valley 710, Rock Springs 720, Lyman 761, Pinedale 770, Morgan 771, Kemmerer 848, Evanston JV 868.

Riverton won the girl’s team title with a 613. Star Valley was next with a 637, then Green River at 823.

Rawlins hosted a two day event at the Rochelle Course.  KW's Amanda Hinchey won here second tournament in a row with a two day 170.  She and the KW girls were team champions as well.   For the boys side, Quintin Pope of Cheyenne East won the individual title with a 142.  The East boys held off KW for the team title as well.

Gillette hosted a two day, 36 hole tournament on Monday and Tuesday.   Laramie's John Murdock would survive a one hole playoff with East's Quintin Pope to take first for a second tournament in a row.  Murdock and Pope both shot 143 for two days.  Danny Davis was third at 145 and Riverton's Aaron Nirider was fourth shooting a 147.    East would get the team title, however, holding off Laramie by 2 strokes.  Gillette was third, Central fourth.   On the girls' side, Hailey Shackleford won on her home course carding a two day 157.  She and the Gillette girls ran away with the team crown putting four golfers in the top six places.

Rawlins is set to host golf on Thursday and Friday while Tongue River hosts a one day tournament in Sheridan at Kendrick Golf Course on Thursday.  Friday sees Upton hosting a one day golf event.  Check back for results as they occur.
