Kelly Walsh Girls Basketball Wrap [VIDEO]

Kelly Walsh had another solid regular season but found life a bit tough in the State Tournament going 2 and out. Their quarterfinal round game with Cheyenne East went right down to the end and ended up as a 44-42 loss. Isabel Lyons had 15 points for the Trojans and Corin Carruth pulled down 13 rebounds. What hurt KW in this game was going 9-20 from the free-throw line. In the consolation round, Kelly Walsh was defeated by Rock Springs 45-39 in a game that featured 7 lead changed and 4 ties. Danilynn Shell led the scoring for KW with 11 while Carruth had 11 rebounds. Shell averaged 10 12 points a game and was named all-state. The team loses 3 seniors but Shell and Carruth will return as seniors. There will be some talent to reckon with next season.
