Buffalo is the defending 2A state champion and they had their hands full with a stout Lovell Bulldog team on Friday night in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs. Buffalo scored once in the first half on a short run from Rowen Ruby so the Bison led 7-0 at the intermission. Ruby found the end zone in the 3rd quarter on another run for a score to increase the lead to 14-0. Later in the 2nd half, the Bison got a TD catch from Jace Skovgard so that made it 21-0 Lovell finally scored in the 4th quarter with their jumbo running back Coy Trainor who bulled his way into the end zone to cut the gap to 21-7. But late in the 4th quarter, Anthony Graves returned a fumble for a TD as Buffalo wins it 28-6. The Bison sit at 9-0 and will host Thermopolis in the 2A semi-finals. Lovell concludes the season at 6-4.
