The Mountain View Buffalos picked up a big road win, 40-38, at No. 2 Lyman in 3A girls' basketball last Friday night.

In a tight game throughout, neither team got a big lead.

Mountain View held a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles battled back for a 20-19 lead at halftime. In the third, both teams made some clutch three-pointers, but it was a pair from Kaycee Bugas that gave the Buffalos a 28-26 lead.

Lyman tried to make a push in the fourth period, but some of their shots, even from inside just rolled off. The Eagles had a chance to tie, but a shot from Charlsie Rose rolled off the front of the rim, and Mountain View held on for a 40-38 victory.
