PhotoFest! Lander Twi-Light Track Meet

Lander held a twilight meet on Tuesday with 7 schools and some very windy conditions. On the girl's side, Big Piney's Shelby Guest won both of the hurdle events, taking the 100 in 18.43 and the 300 in 52.24. Also in the track, the girl's 100-meter dash winner was Avery Bever of Lander in 13.55 with her teammate Avery Crane winning the 200 in 28.01. Lander's Abigail Gribowskas won the 400 in 1.03.97. In the distance races for the ladies, Anna Wilmot of Lander took the 800 in 2.37.22 and her teammate Ameya Eddy placed first in the 1600 meters in 5.42.09. Her teammate Darian Bell prevailed in the 3200 in 13.20.33. Western Heritage won the 4x100 relay with Lander winning the 4x400 and the 4x800

In the girl's field events, Abigail Gribowskas added to her win total by going 15-6 in the long jump while Riverton's Clarah Hall went 33-4.5 to take the triple jump. Bo Mitchell of Lander cleared 6-6 in the pole vault with her Tiger teammate Asha reed clearing 4-9 in the high jump. In the throwing events, Xoey Rich from Thermopolis threw 93-5 to win the discus with Hannah Runyon of Big Piney throwing 31-8.25 to win the shot-put.

On the boy's side, Riverton's Tristan Watkins continues his excellent season with victories in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. he ran 11.57 in the 100 and 24.22 in the 200, Matisse Weaver of Lander ran 54.88 to take the 400. Riverton's Kaden Chatfield was a two-event winner as he ran 2.09.70 to win the 800 and 4,53.21 to take the tape in the 1600 meters. The 3200-meter winner was Diego Lobatos from Lander in 11.24.69. Hunter Fisher of Big Piney won the 110 hurdles in 17.06 with Colby Jenks of Big Piney taking the 300 hurdles in 40.64.

Over in the boy's field events, Ty Sheets of Riverton went 18-6.25 to win the long jump and the triple jump winner was Watie Whiteplume from Riverton at 36-2 and he placed first in the high jump at 5-6. Lander's Isaac Vasquez cleared 11 feet to win the pole vault and in the weight events, Nathan Mills came up with the sweep, throwing 39-9.25 in the shot and 128-8 in the discus.
