PhotoFest! Wyoming Track Classic

In high school track and field, the All-Star Wyoming Track Classic was held on Friday in Casper, with 8 meet records broken. Kelly Walsh's Landon Walker had a leap of 49-7 in the triple jump, exceeding the existing state record. State records can only be broken at the State meet. Walker broke the meet record that was set in 1989, and Raynor Ranum of Campbell County broke a meet record set in 1989 with a toss of 64 feet 4 inches in the shot put.
Natrona's Carson Lunberg broke the meet record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.56, Sheridan's Chance Morris broke a meet record in the 200 at 21.45, and Tegan Krause of Cheyenne Central did the same in the 400 at 47.98. On the girls' side, Maggie Madsen of Cheyenne East broke the Classic record in the 3200 meters in 10.48.40, Jaden Meyer of Douglas ran 43.28 to set the meet standard in the 300 hurdles, and Lilly Charest went 12-3 to set the Classic record in the pole vault.
