Riverton took the short trip over to Lander on Thursday for a spirited interclass match-up in volleyball. Both teams are well over the .500 mark with Lander winning the first set 25-22. Riverton responded with a win on set 2, 25-14 with Lander coming back to take the 3rd set 25-19. The Tigers had a lead in the 4th set and were poised to win the match but Riverton rallied to take game 4, 26-24. The Wolverines prevailed 15-13 in the 5th set and got a tremendous match from Naya Shime who finished with an astounding 43 kills. Lander has some skilled players as well thanks to Abby Renner and Demi Stauffenberg. The Tigers have a little bit of an edge as they will host the 3A West regional tournament starting on Friday. Riverton will be in the 4A West regional as the #3 seed and will meet Evanston in the 1st round.
