
Conference Championship Time Arrives for Wyoming Boys’ Swimming & Diving
Wyoming High School boys’ swimming and diving teams are the first to begin the postseason in 2026. Teams head to four sites for the conference championships on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Class 3A competes in Rawlins and Newcastle. Class 4A will hold theirs in Casper and Gillette. The 3A South will start with the first eight rounds of diving or the diving prelims and semifinals, followed by the swimming prelims on Thursday. Their event finals are on Friday. The other three conference swim meets will be on Friday and Saturday, following the same format.

Next week will feature ‘Last Chance’ qualifying meets, and the state championships are in Cheyenne on Feb. 19-21, 2026.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL BOYS’ SWIMMING & DIVING CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS: Feb. 5 - 7, 2026
3A South – in Rawlins at the Rawlins HS Pool
Teams = Kemmerer, Lander, Lyman, Rawlins, Sublette County
Thursday Schedule = Diving Prelims & Semifinals at 3 p.m.; Swimming Prelims approximately 5 p.m.
Friday Schedule = Finals at 11 a.m.
Team Scores = Lander 396, Lyman 320, Rawlins 166.50, Sublette County 140.50, Kemmerer 138.
Lyman won 10 of the 12 events, but Lander's depth carried them to the title. Double-event winners included Branson Busskohl (200 Free, 100 Free), Trey Buckner (50 Free, 500 Free), Evan Bentley (Fly, Back), and Mason Aimone (IM, Breaststroke) from Lyman.
3A North (Absaraka Conf.) – in Newcastle at the Kozisek Aquatics Center
Teams = Buffalo, Cody, Douglas, Newcastle, Powell, Worland
Friday Schedule = Diving Prelims & Semifinals at 3 p.m.; Swimming Prelims approximately 4:30 p.m.
Saturday Schedule = Finals at 10 a.m.
Team Scores = Buffalo 363, Cody 263, Powell 191, Douglas 158, Worland 123, Newcastle 92.
Buffalo won 8 of the 12 events. Everett Thomas (50 Free, 100 Free) from Buffalo was the only individual two-event winner.

Friday Schedule = Diving Prelims & Semifinals at 1 p.m.; Swimming Prelims around 3 p.m.
Saturday Schedule = Finals at 10 a.m.
Team Scores = Riverton 281, Evanston 245, Green River 210, Kelly Walsh 179, Rock Springs 156, Natrona County 113, Jackson 97.
Riverton won 4 events. Double-event winners were Alex Jordan from Riverton (IM, Back), Jacob Olson of Evanston (200 Free, 500 Free), and Koen Asper of Rock Springs (50 Free, 100 Free).
4A East – in Gillette at the Campbell County Aquatic Center
Teams = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin
Friday Schedule = Diving Prelims & Semifinals at 2 p.m.; Swimming Prelims approximately 4:30 p.m.
Saturday Schedule = Finals at 9 a.m.
Team Scores = Central 285, Laramie 266, Sheridan 180, Thunder Basin 172, East 169, Campbell County 155, South 34.
Central won 4 events on the way to the title. Double-event winners included Campbell County's Brady Hunt (200 Free, Fly) and Cy Gallion (IM, 500 Free), and Sheridan's Ben Forsythe (50 Free, 100 Free).
