Week 4 of the Wyoming High School indoor track season has one big meet in the state. Thunder Basin hosts the large Basin Nation meet on Friday, with 22 teams competing. It’s a bit of a state preview track meet with the largest field for one event in the state so far this year. A few schools will compete in out-of-state competitions in Utah or Idaho. A handful of schools opted to train this week.

Mountain View will split its squad. Some are competing at the UCCTCA Indoor Invitational in Kearns, Utah, while some others head to Pocatello, Idaho, for the USTFA Snake River Association Indoor Championships. Star Valley also has representation in Utah. Here is the schedule for the third week of indoor track. Schedules are subject to change.

Basin Nation Invitational in Gillette at the Campbell County Rec Center Fieldhouse

Ashley Rogge from Thunder Basin won the 55-meter hurdles and high jump. 

The Sheridan boys won 8 events, including the mid-distance and distance running events, and 3 relays. Derrick Murphy of East won the high jump and triple jump as the lone 2-event winner.

UCCTCA Indoor Invitational in Kearns, UT, at the Utah Olympic Oval – Limited Schedule starts at 4 p.m. with a rolling schedule (1600m, 400m, 4x800 relay, pole vault)

Mountain View's Cole Rogers took 4th in the boys' 400 meters.

Saturday, Feb. 7:

UCCTCA Indoor Invitational in Kearns, UT, at the Utah Olympic Oval – Rolling schedule starts at 9 a.m. (no field events)

Team Attending: Mountain View, Star Valley.

Cole Rogers of Mountain View won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.03 seconds. He also finished 4th in the 200 meters. 

USATF Snake River Association Indoor Championships in Pocatello, ID, at ICCU Dome: Field Events start at 9 a.m. and Track Events at 9:30 a.m. (rolling schedule)

Team Attending: Evanston, Mountain View, Riverton, Star Valley.

Addison Alley of Riverton won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.05 seconds. Star Valley's Abigail Carillo-Zarate won the shot put at 37-10. Jayden Rieker from Evanston won the 400 meters for the boys. The Red Devils won the 4x400 relay.
