The second volleyball rankings of the season keep five of the six teams that started on top of the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Poll.

Laramie, Mountain View, Sundance, Cokeville, and Kaycee remain No. 1. The change happened in Class 1A, where Southeast was in a three-way tie for first last week, but the Cyclones fall to third in the new rankings.

There is also a tie in Class 4A and four new teams in the latest poll.

The most change occurred in Class 1A. After the Panthers and Buckaroos are tied for first, and Southeast is third, there are two new teams in the top five. Little Snake River and Upton make their debut in the rankings at four and five, respectively.

Class 3A and 2A had the same result in this week’s voting. The top four teams stayed the same, while No. 5 is different.

Mountain View earned seven first-place votes and remains No. 1. Only nine points separate Lander from Lyman for second and third. Buffalo holds in fourth. Making their debut in fifth is the Kemmerer Rangers. Four more teams received votes.

In 2A, Sundance holds onto first, while Riverside maintains the No. 2 ranking. Big Horn and Moorcroft are still third and fourth. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies debut in the new poll at No. 5.

The same teams are ranked in Class 4A. Laramie received nine of the ten first-place votes. They are followed by Kelly Walsh and Cheyenne East. This week’s change has Natrona County and Thunder Basin tied for fourth.
