Two basketball players from the same school earned the first WyoPreps Athlete of the Week awards in the new year, presented by Premier Bone and Joint Centers. Pinedale swept the honors after last week’s performances. Elyn Bowers and Alex Gosar had great individual games and helped the Wranglers win their home-opening games last week. Bowers continued her excellent senior season, and Gosar accomplished a first in the state for boys’ basketball this season. The winners came from last week’s shortened week in the Winter Sports season from Jan. 2-4, 2025.
