Encampment Girls Advance to 1A Semi-finals

Defending 1A State Champion Encampment started the 2018 state tournament on the right foot with a 45-38 win over Rock River on Thursday morning at the Casper Events Center. The Tigers traileed by 5 after one quarter of play and controlled the contest the rest of the way, Cheyanne Jordan led Encampment with 18 with Paige Powell throwing in 17 with 16 rebounds, Rock River's only double digit scorer was Emma Sander 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Longhorns fall to 17-8 and will play in the consolation round tomorrow. Encampment is 21-3 and advance to the 1a semi-finals tomorrow.
