It is Week 3 of the high school golf season in Wyoming. That means we’re already at the halfway point of the season. Four tournaments and one match play event are on the slate this week. The tournaments are all at the end of the week. Gillette, Rock Springs, and Worland host two-day invites on Thursday and Friday. Big Horn and Tongue River will co-host a one-day invite in Sheridan on Friday. Jackson and Evanston have a match play showdown on Tuesday.

Thursday, Aug. 28:

Gillette Invite – at Bell Knob G.C., 9 a.m. – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Riverton, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Torrington.

Maddie Brace from Douglas has a 5-shot lead in the girls' field. Jaxon Burr leads the boys by 1 shot.

Rock Springs Invite – at White Mountain G.C., 1 p.m. – Evanston, Green River, Kemmerer, Lyman, Pinedale, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Maddie Brown of Evanston leads by 4 shots in the girls' division. Green River's Adam Robertson has a 1 shot lead in the boys' field.

Worland Invite – at Green Hills G.C., 9 a.m. – Buffalo, Cody, Glenrock, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Wheatland, Worland.

The clubhouse leads belong to Addison Bettinger and Tate Nichols.

Friday, Aug. 29:

Kendrick Invite – at Kendrick G.C. in Sheridan – Big Horn, Hulett, Lusk, Moorcroft, Newcastle, Sundance, Tongue River, Upton, Wright.

Tongue River swept the medalist honors. Savannah Tremain won the girls' title by 6 strokes. Easton Lewis took 1st place in the boys' field by 4 shots. The Sundance girls had the only team score, while Wright finished on top of the boys' field.

Gillette Invite – at Bell Knob G.C., 9 a.m. – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Douglas, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Riverton, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Torrington.

Maddie Brace of Douglas and Khloe Romo from Kelly Walsh tied for first in the girls' division. Romo won on the 1st playoff hole. Kelly Walsh won the girls' team crown by 3 shots. In the boys' division, Jaxon Burr of Campbell County won on his home course by 6 shots and led the Camels to the team title.

Rock Springs Invite – at White Mountain G.C., 8 a.m. – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lyman, Pinedale, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Evanston's Madison Brown was the girls' medalist by 11 strokes. Adam Robertson of Green River took the boys' title by 1 shot. Evanston swept the team titles.

Girls Team Scores = Evanston 550, Star Valley 580, Rock Springs 610.

Boys Team Scores = Evanston 639, Rock Springs 652, Star Valley 660, Green River 663, Pinedale 671, Kemmerer 748, Lyman 756, Rawlins 808.

Worland Invite – at Green Hills G.C., 9 a.m. – Buffalo, Cody, Glenrock, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Wheatland, Worland.

Wheatland swept the medalist position. Jaylen Kaufman captured 1st in the girls' division by 2 shots. Tate Nichols was the boys' medalist by 12 shots.
