The Hanna-Elk Mountain girls basketball team found a way to the state tournament and won twice as many games as they lost. The Miners had an all-state performer in sophomore Amy Campbell who averaged 16 points. Madison Campbell, who was also a sophomore averaged 8 points a contest. Hanna lost a tough game with St. Stephens in the quarterfinal round of the 1A state tournament 46-43 as the Miners were outscored 15-4 in the 4th quarter. Rainey Wilson was HEM's leading scorer with 11 with Amy Campbell had 10. In the consolation round, Hanna was downed by Little Snake River 37-29 with Amy Campbell getting 10. Next season, the Campbell girls will be back and the team will lose just one senior from this year's squad.
