Cheyenne Hosts an Epic Weekend of High School Swim Competitions

The Wyoming High School Boys’ Swimming and Diving State Championships for 2025 are Thursday through Saturday in Cheyenne. The Cheyenne East High School Aquatics Facility hosts the Class 4A Championships on Thursday and Friday, followed by the Class 3A Championships on Friday and Saturday. Twenty-five teams will be competing over the three days of the culminating weekend.

Here is a breakdown of both classifications, the defending champions who return in each event, and the schedule for the weekend.

CLASS 4A:

Teams Participating = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Defending Team Champ = Laramie (vying for their 9th championship in a row)

Returning/Defending Event Champs = 200 medley relay – Campbell County; 200 IM – Cy Gallion, Campbell County; 50 Free – Ben Forsythe, Sheridan; Diving – Brady Benne, Cheyenne Central; 100 Butterfly – Brady Hunt, Campbell County; 500 freestyle – Cy Gallion, Campbell County; 200 free relay – Kelly Walsh; 100 Backstroke – Brady Hunt, Campbell County; 100 Breaststroke – Ben Forsythe, Sheridan; 400 free relay – Campbell County.

Schedule = Thursday: Diving Prelims & Semis, 2 p.m.; Swim Prelims, approx. 4 p.m.; Friday: Finals, 10 a.m.
