The 58th Arcadia Invitational is on Friday and Saturday at Arcadia High School in California. This premier national track meet brings in more than 3,900 high school track and field athletes from the U.S. and overseas for competition. Six Wyoming prep athletes from three high schools in the Cowboy State are competing in the 2026 track meet. The Arcadia Invitational has various divisions. They are Rising Stars, Open, Rated, Seeded, and Invitational, in that general order of prestige.

WyoPreps Previews Wyoming's Contingent at Arcadia

Laramie has the largest representation with four athletes competing in one event each. Natrona County has one athlete in two events, and Cheyenne Central has one athlete in one event.

NC’s Champ Ransom is the lone runner in two events. He will compete in the third section of the Open 3200 meters on Friday night. Ransom will also race in the Invitational 1-mile run on Saturday night.

For the second consecutive year, Laramie’s Lainey Berryhill will compete in the Open 400 meters. Her race is on Saturday afternoon in the last of five sections. Teammate Flynn Arnold races in the Seeded 400-meter division Saturday evening. Brynlee Enevoldsen is in the Open Division of the women’s pole vault on Saturday morning. Keiran Giraldo competes in the Seeded 1-mile run late Saturday afternoon.

Finally, Cheyenne Central’s Race Morrell is in the men’s Open Division 1-mile run on Saturday morning.

A seventh Wyoming athlete, Addison Alley from Riverton High School, qualified in the 100 hurdles, but she had to scratch for various reasons.

Arcadia Competition Schedule

Friday’s action begins at 5:30 p.m., Pacific Time. Saturday’s competition at Arcadia starts at 9:30 a.m. and goes until 10 p.m., Pacific Time. This year’s event will not have Multis, meaning a decathlon or heptathlon.
