Gray, Hollingshead, and Rogers are the WyoPreps Athletes of the Week 5-21-25 [VIDEO]
One softball player and two track athletes who turned in top-notch efforts last week were chosen as the WyoPreps Athletes of the Week, presented by Premier Bone and Joint Centers. After last week’s performances, May 12 through May 18, 2025, Campbell County senior Bayley Gray, Lander sophomore Paisley Hollingshead, and Kemmerer sophomore Cole Rogers received the weekly honor. Gray helped Campbell County win the North Regional Softball Championship last weekend. Hollingshead won four individual events and set two records at the 3A West Regional Track Championships. Rogers won four events and set three records at the 2A West Regional Track Championships.

Girls Winners
Gray led the Camels to a dominant showing and a first-place finish at the inaugural North Regional Softball Championships in Casper. Campbell County won all three games in five innings via the mercy rule. They beat Cody 22-6, Thunder Basin 19-5, and Sheridan 16-4. Gray had a .714 batting average. The senior was 10-14 at the plate with two doubles and three home runs. One of her home runs put the Camels in the lead for good during the North Regional title game against Sheridan. Gray finished with 13 RBIs, scored seven runs, and stole three bases. She also caught all three games behind the plate.
Gray told WyoPreps it was very exciting, she broke out offensively, knows her team is playing very well and wants to keep that going, says it is a fun atmosphere right now, and more.
Hollingshead went 4-for-4 at the 3A West Regional Track Championships in Powell. She won the 100 hurdles at 15.15 seconds and took first in the 300 hurdles at 46.55 seconds. Hollingshead won two field events. She won the high jump at 5-6.75, a new school record. Paisley broke the old mark set 37 years ago. She won the long jump with a leap of 18-00.50 and set another school record. Hollingshead broke an old mark from 21 years ago. She also helped Lander win the team title at the 3A West Regional.
WyoPreps discussed the big weekend with the sophomore. Paisley said her performance felt good, the key was her focus, she was happy to get the records, described some keys in her events, and more.

Boys Winner
Rogers went 4-for-4 at the 2A West Regional Track Championships in Shoshoni. The sophomore won the 100 meters in 11.41 seconds. He set a new regional record in his victory in the 400 meters at 49.68 seconds. Rogers won the 110 hurdles at 14.50, another regional record. He also captured first place in the 300 hurdles at 38.77 seconds. Rogers set a record in that event in the prelims last Friday at 38.41 seconds. His efforts helped Kemmerer take second in the team standings.
WyoPreps spoke with Cole about his performance. He said it was his first regional track meet, described how he accomplished the 4-for-4, said the records were not on his mind, loved how he helped the Rangers finish second, described some keys in his four events, and more.
