Burlington, Big Horn Headline a Busy Week of Movement in WyoPreps Basketball Polls

Two new teams at No. 1 in the girls’ rankings highlight the new WyoPreps Coaches and Medi Basketball Polls on Christmas Eve. Burlington’s undefeated start to the season has pushed the Huskies to the top of the 1A girls’ rankings. Big Horn’s 4-0 mark in the Foothills Classic helped the Rams to the top of the charts. The top-ranked teams in the four boys’ divisions remained Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Wyoming Indian, Lovell, and Sheridan.

WYOPREPS COACHES AND MEDIA BASKETBALL POLLS 12-24-25

Two new girls and two new boys’ teams joined the latest rankings. Pinedale moved into fifth in the 3A girls’ poll, and Star Valley did the same in the 4A top five. The Wranglers beat three 4A opponents at the Flaming Gorge Classic, and Star Valley was also 3-0 at the same tournament. In the boys’ polls, two schools rejoined the top five in 3A and 4A. Lander jumped back into third in 3A, and Thunder Basin moved back into fifth in 4A. All eight top fives had movement in the rankings.

Class 1A:

1 = Burlington

2 = Little Snake River

3 = Cokeville

4 = Southeast

5 = Upton

Class 2A:

1 = Big Horn

2 = Sundance

3 = Tongue River

4 = Wyoming Indian

5 = Thermopolis

Class 3A:

1 = Cody

2 = Lander

3 = Douglas

4 = Lovell

5 = Pinedale

Class 4A:

1 = Sheridan

2 = East

3 = Green River

4 = Thunder Basin

5 = Star Valley
