4A: Cheyenne Central defeated Cheyenne South to win their first state title since 1998.

3A: Worland beat Douglas to win their first state title since 1921, ending a 95 year drought.

2A: Pine Bluffs beat defending champ Wind River for their first title since 1983.

1A: Burlington defeated Upton to 3-peat as State Champs.

4-Time All-State Boys Basketball Honors: Trey Schroefel - Buffalo

Girls Basketball:

4A: Gillette beat Natrona to repeat as State Champs and win their 16th in 26 years.

3A: Worland defeated Star Valley to win their first title ever.

2A: Pine Bluffs beat Southeast to win their first title since 1994.

1A: St. Stephens defeated Kaycee to win their first title ever.

Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year: Robbi Ryan - Sheridan (repeat)

4-Time All-State Girls Basketball Honors: Robbi Ryan - Sheridan

Natrona County High School grad Kaylee Johnson helped Stanford get to the Elite 8, of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

4A: Green River would win their first title since 2002, and stop Gillette's run at 13.

3A: Star Valley would win their first title since 2007.

2A: Moorcroft would 4-peat as state champs.

Kye Catlin of Powell would become the newest member of the 4-state title club.

Hayden Hastings of Sheridan put together an unfeated season.

Hasting would place 4th at nationals and Terren Swartz of Gillette was national runner-up. Both would win All-American status.

4-Time All-State Wrestling Honors: Kye Catlin of Powell, Chance Karst of Powell, Nic Urbach of Powell and Connor Wilkinson of Shoshoni.

4A: Gillette won the State Championship.

3A: Lander 20-peated as State Champs.

Nordic Skiing:

Jackson would win both the boys and girls team state titles. The boys would 7-peat and win their 12th in 13 years. The girls would 5-peat.

Alpine Skiing:

Jackson would win both the boys and girls team state titles. The boys would 5-peat and win their 8th in 9 years. The girls would 7-peat and win their 15th in 17 years.

Indoor Track and Field:

Cheyenne Central boys and Gillette girls (5-peat) were State Champs.

4A: Laramie defeated Riverton in the state championship match. It was their 3rd title in 4 years.

3A: Jackson beat Lander to 3-peat as champs and win their 4th state title in the last 5 years.

Cheyenne Post 6 defeated the Sheridan Troopers to win their 14th AA State Championship in 16 years.

The Cheyenne Hawks beat the Douglas Cats to win the A_League State Championship.

Cheyenne East grad and Post 6 alumnus Brandon Nimmo, a 2011 MLB first pick of the New York Mets, got the call to play in the big leagues.

The North beat the South 41-26 in the 2016 Wyoming Shrine Bowl Football Game.

The Nebraska 6-Man Football All-Stars won their second game in a row in the annual Shootout vs. Wyoming.

The Wyoming Boys and Girls Basketball All-Stars went 1-3 vs. Montana.
