The first WyoPreps.com Coaches and Media Volleyball Rankings of the 2019 season have finally been released.

To no surprise, the top spot in each classification belongs to a team that either won a title last season or was in the championship match. Kelly Walsh, Rawlins, Pine Bluffs, and Cokeville are the top-ranked teams in this initial poll of the season.

In Class 4A, the defending champion Trojans received all but one first-place vote. They are followed by Cheyenne East in second. Thunder Basin is third with Star Valley fourth, and Rock Springs at No. 5. Twelve of the 16 teams in the class received at least one vote.

The Outlaws are a unanimous choice for the top team in Class 3A. Pinedale checks in at No. 2 in the first poll, while Mountain View is third. Lander Valley is fourth followed by a tie for No. 5 between Douglas and Worland.

Another unanimous No. 1 team is the Pine Bluffs Hornets in Class 2A. They are followed by Sundance and Wright, who are tied for second. Wind River is fourth in the first rankings. Greybull is the team in fifth.

In Class 1A, the Cokeville Panthers were the lone team to receive first-place votes. The defending champs start where they left off at the end of 2018. Saratoga is second in this initial poll, followed by Meeteetse, Rock River, and H.EM. rounding out the top five.

Here is the voting breakdown:
